sluggish 850 1997

My '97 850 turbo with ~55,000 miles has become sluggish. The plugs, wires, fuel filter, etc. were replaced last summer. Also, the AC has begun to blow hot air in stop and go traffic. Are these two items related? What can I look for concerning the Sluggishness? If this was happening to my '91 240 I would know what to look for, but I do not know the quirks of the 850.
