Baro-pressure sensor S70

Would a faulty baro-pressure sensor cause the "check engine light" to go on/off intermittently (on for 2-3 days , off for 3-4, etc..)??

The car feels/drives the same, and I've pretty much eliminated the gas cap issue, and the oxygen sensor also seems to be fine....am I missing something?I disconnected the battery to re-set everything, but within a few hours, the light re-appeared...

What error code would the OBDII reader give for this problem, and if soembody knows the part number for that sensor( and price) I'd appreciate it...

Lastly, is 70K or 80K miles the proper interval to replace the timing belt on the 1998 T5? And, what else (seprentine belt?) needs doing around that time?

TIA,
Harley

Info on this at alldatadiy.com says:

If the signal from the atmospheric pressure sensor is faulty or missing the engine control module (ECM) adopts a substitute value.

There was no part number or price listed for the sensor.

Timing belt change is 70K miles. Serpentine belt change is at 60K
miles. The 60K service is a big one (similar to 30K) and the 70K
is oil and the timing belt. Note that 98 vehicles with an engine number
higher or equal to 1266128- have a mechanical tensioner belt (a newer
design) and that one might last longer then 70K, I'm not sure (it is also
supposed to be harder to change). The 1266128- engine number is
from TSB 2210015 which describes the procedure to adjust the timing
    belt tension.

I just replaced this part although I cant find the bag with the part number!!! I've been looking all around.

It seems like it was about 125 at my local Oregon dealer however I didnt buy it. I recently puchased my car over the internet and the former owner actually bought this part and sent it too me.

I put it in myself (one screw and unplug) seeing as it was right there in the front of the car as plain as day. The local indi shop reset the light for me.
All is well. (It was only the check engine light that I noticed anyway)

If I find the number i'll add it later. good luck.
