Cargo Door Switch not working. V70-XC70 2000

Hi all,
You guys are great, and so that is why I am posting a message hear. I only wish I knew about this board before I shelled out the money for the OEM cd changer, installed by the dealer.
I have two questions,
1) Has anyone out there installed the Alpine CHA-S634 cd-r/cdrw/mp3 cd changer. Can you tell me what things to take into consideration and installation procedure. As I already have the OEM cd changer installed in the back, I have the mounting bracket and wiring harness, anything else to consider.

2) There is a switch on the drivers side door to open the Cargo door in the back. When I press the switch I only hear a clicking sound and nothing happens. I took a look in the owners manual and it says that there is a child proof switch on cargo door to stop it from opening. Can anyone tell me where this switch is because I cannot find it, it's driving me nuts. Thanks in advance for all help and suggestions.

    The cargo door switch on the drivers door only unlocks the tailgate, it does not open it. On sedans, it does pop open the trunk.
