I noticed I need to replace my break hoses. Does anyone know if aftermarket are available anywhere as the only place I could find them are from the dealer. They are available for 1994 but not the 95-97.

All four are under 160 cdn if you go stainless.

I believe the 94s have the same brake lines. I work on a 94 all the time and have never noticed anything unique with them. As for lines, everyplace sells them. eurusporttuning, ipd, spg9, all around the same price to for stainless. Usually around 120. If you want stockish rubber lines, any auto store should be able to order them for you.

I checked with a number of local companies (4) and non of them can get the rubber brake hoses for the 1995. They can get hoses for the 1994 850 but do not feel they are the same as 1995 because nothing is coming up as a part number for the 1995 model year.

Do we know if Volvo changed them for 1995?

I will be swapping some rotors on a 94 850 on thursday. If you can wait I can see what I can do. Its going to be a visual, so I can not promise the same fittings, but I can check length and OD. If it makes you feel better IPD and SPG9 say they they are the say on their site. IPD also has them for sale for 8x dollars. Not as cheap as stock, but close. I am 99% sure the lines are the same. I know the calipers can be swapped, so I can not imagain the lines being different.

How long do they last (stock)? I have 85K on a 97 turbo. Going to do rotors, pads on front in a week. Should I also do break lines. I am going to bleed also... Thanks.

They should last pretty much foever. Many 1970s cars on the road with orginal lines.
