many fault codes, 95 850 turbo 850

I just purchased a 95 8509 Turbo. It was fine for a couple of weeks but then the Check Engine light came on. I learned how to check for codes and have many. The codes are form A-2, 434, 435, 132
and from A-3 314, 213, 214, any advice would be great. I cannot figure out how to reset the codes, I read about holding the button for seven seconds twice, but the light never flashes for the reset. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. The car seems to run alright, but it does feel like it is surging slightly while drivinng at highway speeds.

Thanks, Liam

many fault codes, 95 850 turbo 850 1995

Liam,

My girlfriend purchased a 1995 850 Turbo a month ago and she too has recently had a few codes appear. The A2 codes are fuel computer codes, so they have to do with the fuel system and can be translated through volvospeed.com. Volvospeed does not, however, have a listing for A3 codes. In my case, A1 and A3 codes appeared, but no A2 codes. I had a lot of trouble finding what mine meant (I had to call a local Volvo Master Tech to decode mine). Anyway, I too had the 213 and 214 codes from location A3 (213 is missing left rear wheel speed sensor signal, 214 is missing right rear wheel speed sensor signal). Anyway, I hope this helps...
