I ran across a product that seems to do a very nice job on cleaning those chalky gray looking door handles, mouldings and bumpers. It's marketed by Mothers and it's called "Back-to-Black". I also used it on the interior on an older car of mine and it seemed to work well although they say it's for exterior use. Just though I'd mention it.

I bought mine at Autozone but I don't know if you have those where you are.

How long does it usually stay black?? I havent done it in awhile but i remember it lasting only about a week before it had to be done again

I ordered a bottle of the stuff about 6 months ago. I began by applying it to the bumper at about 6 pm. I was so amazed that I ended up doing both cars and detailing until almost 10 pm. My wife wanted to know what I was so excited about. I called all my friends to tell them about it. I felt like an info-mercial!
