Hello,
I searched for a while and couldn't find an applicable thread so here's my questions:
1. All of the sudden (over a 4 day period) I'm experiencing a hard pull to the right and a very noticable shake in the steering as a result of something that I think is going on in the right front axle/drive. I grabbed the tire and moved it back and forth and sure enough, there's a little play in there. Can someone diagnose this for me and offer advice on a solution and the potential cost? I'd like to know before I pay the $60 "diagnostic" fee at the local Volvo dealership.

2. My power seat on the driver's side is not working anymore. Is there a tutorial somewhere that has step-by-step on how the fix the cable/assembly/whatever? volvospeed.com seems to be down.

    check your lower ball joint, too. When mine started to go really bad, the car would pull or squirm whenever I stepped on the brakes. Easy fix, but not real cheap (around $150 for part)

    As for seat back cable. I used Volvospeed site but in hindsight probably could have just torn into it blind. Likely your cable is still good but the business end probably came out of the gear drive mechanism. The cable housings seem to expand and cause the cable to slip out of the square gizmo they sit in. Also, use cable ties to replace those silly metal ring clips. Works much easier. I ended up changing my cable in about 70 minutes. Did not need to pull the seat back cover too hich up, I just held it in place with a bungee. Prety easy fix considering dealer wanted like $250

    Check what Mrsha says and also maybe the a Wheel bearing is gone on the axle.
    Lower motor mount on right side under the crankshaft maybe also a problem.

    check the suspension stuff and bearing first.

    I will look at the strut mount cup.. Know as "spring cup" the thing tha hold the strut in place if broke car pull and shifting to one side look very careful at the mount.. 1 on each side see if it still in the center or off to one side...

    all so check your top engine mounted see if it still good or broken ??
