Question regarding replacing factory springs and shocks that has self leveling fcn V70-XC70 1998

I drive a 98 v70 AWD and was beginning to think about changing springs and shocks when present ones go. I like to bring the car down a bit as well, 1-1.25 inches.

Questions:
1. Should I replace shocks with simply performance/adjustable or replace with self-leveling type? I don't do a lot of towing, got a bike rack attached to hitch, that's about extent of load.

2. Anyone have AGX shocks with H&R Springs Combo? Anyone heard of Progress Springs?

Question regarding replacing factory springs and shocks that has self leveling fcn V70-XC70 1998

I'd be really careful about changing the ride height of an AWD. Changing the ride height changes the driveline angles, which can increase NVH issues.

The AWD machines sit a little higher than others due to the AWD. Certainly the V70RAWD might could use a little stiffening, but IMHO it needs it more to prevent body roll thru corners than straight stuff. I think the money might be better spent on swaybars.

If you do ditch your Nivomats, please drop me a line. I'll save 'em from the trash heap.
