12v Plug in Cargo Area V70-XC70 1998

Anyone know if the v70s of my vintage were ever fitted w/ a 12v socket at the aft end? I'd love one for blowing up floats at the lake and such, tailgating, etc.

I can get the socket, fuse, etc at a marine store, but if there is a factory kit, well then so much the simpler....

If anyone has done this aftermarket, where did you patch in?

Thanks,
Bill

My 2001 V70 had one in the truck stock. I don't think there was ever a kit though. In my 240 I have a 2 guage wire going to the little storage area to power my amp, 800 watt inverter and a lighter socket. I would just suggest running the wire yourself to the little compartment, and putting a fuse inline... which I have yet to do on my 240... been too lazy, and I can only imagine what would happen if it grounded while I was driving. That wire wouldn't just burn through, but probably start the battery on fire and I would have a 2nd 4th of July in my engine bay :)

I've had enough fireworks - that's why I was hoping there might be a kit and an existing plug in the wiring harness that I could just plug into.

They offer an electric "cool box" for earlier 850/S/V-70 which gets power from a cigarette lighter socket mounted in the rear. There should be a kit to get the socket only. As for a power source, there is the antenna amplifier, and a power source for C/D changer. The C/D plug should be found in the area of the left taillamp, the antenna amp is behind the left cargo side panel near the left side window.
