I can't guess as to the overall reliability of your particular vehicle, but I can say that I didn't do any major modifications to my engine / vehicle until I reached 110K miles, at which point I went with a turbo upgrade, exhaust system, injectors, and ECM. Except for a minor annoying problem with O2 sensors, the car has run perfectly since then, and I'm up to 130K+ miles now.

Basically, if your engine is sound, and has been maintained, I doubt that the upgrades would cause you any problems, even at 150K. What you might consider though, is how long you plan on keeping the car, and if putting the $$ into it at this point is worth it for you. I don't plan on selling my 850 until it is falling apart (Grin). My last Volvo, a 240, was still going at 279K miles.

This seems to me to be something that only you can determine. First, consider the condition of the car. Has it been kept in top-notch shape? A universal rule of modification is to make sure a car is in tip top stock condition first. Only then do you want to start doing other stuff to it. Also, is it a car that you want to put money into? Only you know how much longer you want to keep the car. I, personally, would only do it if I were going to keep the car for a relatively long time. Modified cars don't always appeal to used car buyers. You also probably don't want to pour money into a car that you will only be enjoying for a limited period of time. If you decide that it's worth it to you and you are willing to accept the risk of shortened drivetrain life, then I say go for it.

This is all just my opinion, so take it for what it is.
