Headrest removal S80 2000

How do you remove the front headrests on a 2000 S80?

I can't help but wonder why you would want to remove them?

I've never tried removing mine but if I needed to my first concern would be whether I could due to the WHIPS system? I suggest calling a dealership and asking a mechanic if there is any reason why you shouldn't remove the headrests.

    Good luck.

Thank you Rollie for the reply. I had planned to remove them only temporary to add a seatcover, then of course I was going to replace them.

    Hi ya,

if its like the 850 as i was recently reading how to do this. If you press about an inch or two in the back if the seat you will unlock the headrest stem legs. just pull up then and thats it.

    hope this works,

    mark.

Mark, I appreciate the response. I have been trying different places on the back of the seat and as of yet I haven't found the magic spot. Will keep trying and hope to hear additional info. Thank you Buddy for your response!
