how bad is it to rub?

I have 225-45-17 inch tires on my lowered s70. Do you guys
know how bad it is to rub the fender lips occasionally? The
tires only rub when I go up extreme slopes, and when there are
a lot of people in the back. Thanks,

    If it's rubbing the fender "lips", not just the inner plastic liner then I'd have to think that it'd be possible that eventually you'll rub through spots in the tires and.....kaboom!
    Tires shouldn't rub anything ever. You might think that it "looks cool" but if you're damaging your car, there's nothing "cool" about that.
