Fuel Injector problems!! Someone please help!! 850

on the way to savannah GA i started experiencing an shuddering problem. with a complete tune up.....wires, plugs, cap, rotor, etc. he later found when going to test something that the negative wire was very loose which ...probably...caused a power spike which in turn messed up my ecu. he tested the injectors with an injector light and three blink dimly, on didn't blink..which means no fuel or too lean and the other lit up like a house light which made sense because the plugs was fouled and completely black..too rich. the only conclusion him and the other mechanics came too was the loose ground messed up the ecu which is messing up the injectors. these are very reliable people and not just some dealer. they are privatly owned and good people. they even gave me the option to find someone who has the same year volvo and and put their ecu in my car and see if the ecu fixes the problem. they are not just trying to take my money. if anyone has experienced this problem or has any other ideas on what this might be, your help will be appreciated. thank you.

Sounds to me like alot of guessing/speculating by people inexperienced with YOUR Volvo. The fact they they first sold you a "tune-up" which obviously didn't fix the real problem tells me that they're guessing, not diagnosing the real problem.
Believe it or not, a good Volvo dealership master tech should be able to pinpoint the real cause in very little time in comparison as he'd have more real experience with your car. Most dealerships only charge 1 hour labor for proper diagnostics so diagnostic labor shouldn't be that expensive. My $.02

I would disconet the battery overnight to the let the ECU clear up. Later on, the ECU can be tested by disconeting components and checking the codes to make sure the respective code came up for that component. For example, if a disconect the air mass flow meater and start the car( it would run like shit), I would get a code or check engine light for this component. YOU CAN ALSO TEST THE ECU BY INSERTING THE PIN READING ON THE APPROPIATE SYSTEM LIKE FUEL AND PRESSSING THE PUSH BUTTOM 3 TIMES TO TEST COMPONENTS.
