has anyone replaced there original factory alarm horn or siren with a siren from another type of alarm or universal siren.

mine sounds sick and needs attention.

JC Whitney has some horns from 9.99 and sirens for a little more.

By decibel, better, and hearing, what do you mean? db is a measure of sound energy, so the higher the db, the more the sound energy, and all things considering, the louder it should be. So why would it be better for human hearing? Do you mean by being lower it will not harm our hearing? Do you mean frequency by any chance?

thanks for the advice, I am going to get one of the 9.99 from JC whitney, it is a round import horn and looks similar to the oem one but without the big adjusting screw out the front of it.

they have a low decibel and a high decibel version.

      Dan
