A/C Fix 850

Message to all who have a bad A/C evaporator or leak: I bought a leak fixer from CyroSeal and it fixed my $1300 A/C problem. The leak fixer only cost me $130 !! Much cheaper then taking it to the dealer.

I have a few questions about your cryoseal fix:

1. Was it easy to do it yourself? Is is basically like charging up with a can for R134 or did you have a mechanic do it for you?

2. Did you have a big leak? According to their website, it doesn't work for certain sized leaks.

3. How long has it been since you put in the sealer? I ask this because I put in some Walmart AC sealer a few months ago and it's been ok since but I seriously doubt it'll hold but one can always hope.

Thanks

I did it myself. The directions were very easy and it was just like charging up my system. I had a very big leak. Two weeks ago I charge up my system and two days later it was drained. I put the cryoseal in about a week ago and ive never felt colder air, not even when the car was new. So far so good.

Hope that Helps

Thanks for the info, please post an update in a couple of months whether or not the cryoseal is still working.

first of all, how does one know if one has an evaporator leak? also, where did you get it? I've had an A/C problem just getting freon into the system.

To detect a leak, dye is added to the refregerant. So, you have the
system charged and if/when it leaks down they inspect using a
florescent light (inspect under the hood and under the dash)

If your AC pressure is going down while you put in the freon, that usually indicates the evaporator is leaking. Thats a 12 hour job and big bucks. Here is the web site for the leak fixer. Just call them up and order it. Thats the fastest and cheapest way.
