Bugs splattered all over the front of my car...suggestions 850

I drive alot on the highways and invariably kill alot of bugs in my path. It has gotten to the point where it requires more abrasive cleaning solutions and alot more muscle pressure in order to clean the affected areas (front bumper, license plate, front portionof hood, front spoiler, right and left side mirrors). Does anyone have any suggestions as to nosepieces (aka. bras) or acrylic/plastic coverings? Thanks in advance.

I use a combination of some of the other suggestions. Clay bar will remove the bugs pretty well. Then wax it up well. You can wash them off pretty easily every few days after that. Moisture does soften up the little corpses pretty well, and if you miss the morning dew, you can just hose it and let it soak for a while before you wash.

I believe 3M makes a product that's basically a big clear plastic wrap kind of like the material you use to wrap foods) that covers your hood. Some dealers sell this product.

Do you know what's the last thing that goes thru the mind of a bug when it hits your windshield?

An elderly gentelman told me when I was washing my car in the evening and scrubbing the bugs off that there was an easier way. He said to park the car outside overnight. Then the next morning, wash the car before the dew dries! The bugs will be soft from being wet all night and come off much easier. It's not 100 percent, but it makes for a lot less scrubbing!

I've tried dodging the bugs for years, to no avail. The IPD nosemask to my car fits very nicely over the nose, grill and front edge of hood but doesn't cover the airdam or the bumper. (You'll want to cut the mesh away from the grill opening.)

There are some static cling and vinyl materials out there with low tack PSA that might work.

have you tried to wax the hell of the problem areas? does this help the bugs not to stick?
