Brake shudder 850

This weekend I installed new brake pads on my Volvo. This is the second set on the same rotors, the first set lasted 35K (not bad for the front end). The rotors have wear but still way within acceptable thickness.
All parts are stock, genuine Volvo.

After I changed the pads I stared experiencing brake shudder. 3 times in 2 day - not often, but when it is there it is quite severe. This usually happens when I brake while turning, at 30-40 mph.

What could be a reason for this? Will it go away or get worse? This is not the first brake job I've done on this car, and I never had this before.

TIA,
Yuri

No, I did not use Volvo grease. I used synthetic brake grease from an autoparts store. I used it in the past without any problem. Is it possible that this shudder is caused by the wrong grease?? Hard to imagine this.

Because you are only experiencing this problem while turning, I would suspect the brakes/suspension were not installed back onto the car properly, or something is loose.

The first place I would check is in the lugs. Were they torqued properly?

Sin,
I did not touch any suspension parts, only brake calipers which I tighten well, as well as wheel lugs

There's a dealer service bulletin about this problem. It only happens when the brakes are hot. Then there is a resonant shudder from the rear brakes that occurs at around 30mph. The solution is to buy a set of shims to install on the rear brakes.
I don't have the part number, but since it is a volvo part, your local service center should have the bulletin handy.
