HKS Turbo timer 850 1994

I found a HKS Turbo timer located under the steering column. It took a bit of internet browsing to discover just what it is and does but when I turned it on and tried it it didn't work.
It does turn off the radio and lights etc but the engine goes off with the key as normal.
Anybody have any ideas about how it works, how to set it or how to wire it correctly??? Maybe it is and I just dont know how to operate it
Thanks
Steve

i've got one installed under the dash above my right knee. donno which one u have, but c if u have 2 buttons on the left and 2 buttons on the right. there should be 2 main settings: voltage and time left to run after turning off key. the time left to run should have a t1 (1 min), a t2 (3 min), an auto time which determines how long by what rpm the engine's been running at, and a manual time (set by 30 sec intervals).

No idea why you wired it wrong BUT it's a useless device and you simply don't need it. Your turbo will last a long time w/o it IF you change oil at regular intervals. I'd advise returning it if you can, why make things more difficult than necessary?

Actually Turbo Timers can be very useful in maintaing the longevitity of a turbo, especially if your turbo is driven hard. I would say take it to any performance shop, be it r1ce or otherwise and they should be able to hook it up no problem for like 20.00, but that is just my .02

Volvos water cooled turbos will easily last 200K miles with a well maintained engine and that's usually more miles than what most people ever put on their cars.
Unless you're racing, the turbo isn't THAT hot when normally driven and shut off.
