oh yes! I will be getting the keys to my V70 2.0T next week. I am ex subaru legacy wagon owner, great car but totally sold on the V70 luscious seats!

I saw the S60 in the showroom with the "egg crate" grill, I really like the sporty look. Have anyone converted the standard chrome grill to the egg crate one on the V70 before? Can it be done?

What year is your V70? I have installed a "egg crate" grill from a X/C to my '98 C70. It fits, it's interchangeable. I had the chrome grill painted to match the vehicle body color and I switch them out every few months for a different look.

mine is the V70 2002 model, looking at swapping the grill from the S60 2002 model black egg crate grill.

I know of one individual who modified an S60 grille to fit a 2001 V70. I am awaiting one of two models of IPD grilles to be produced for V70. They have been expected for some time, however.

when you say "modified" do you mean unscrew and screw on or "hack and saw"?

Hmm...don't know exactly. It was Darell who used to post frequently before he dumped his V70. It was not a screw job, though; I recall he did something to it. Darell still peruses Volvo message boards; you could try paging Darell on swedespeed.com. Of course the S60 grille still has the damn Volvo solidus/slash on it. The V70 would look even better with just a mesh grille. Email Scott Hart @ IPD and light a fire. Also, be aware that there is a typo on IPD website; the ABS-rimmed insert grille is not available for 2001-plus V70s, contrary to indication. Best wishes.
