850 Turbo black or eggcrate grill?? 850 1996

My brother has a new 850 Turbo and he loves it but he wants to change the look a bit. He really likes the look of the eggcrate grills on the new S60 is there anything available for the 850 like that? what about a black grill maybe Eastern Aerospace's black grill but with the silver cross piece and volvo emblem like on the S60

any thoughts?

    Check ipd.com - they have several choices, including some different inserts for the Volvo logo. On my T-5R I used black out trim tape on the chrome surround, so the vertical bars appear to float in the opening - my car is black...won't work as well on another color, obviously. Also I covered the chrome area (the box) surrounding the logo letters. Total cost about $4 for the roll of tape. If you know you'll not be putting the stock grille back in, consider sanding and painting it black. Properly done that works well and saves multi bucks.
