Replacement Aluminum Wheel Needed 850 1995

Dopey me - I clipped a curb and sliced off about 1.5" of the bead on the aluminum wheel on my 1995 850 turbo. The wheel seems OK otherwise, and does not appear to be bent. The tire is a total. The wheel is a 5 hole, 5 spoke type. Any thoughts as to using the wheel as-is, fixing the wheel, or getting a replacement. Finding a replacement seems the logical choice EXCEPT for cost and availability. Know of anyone who has one they want to sell? Thanks for any advice.

If all you did is grind off the ourside beat then it should be ok to use as long as it isn't bent ot cracked. Ask the tire shop to look at it when they change your tire. Have them check it to be sure it's straight and round.

If you do need or want another rim, or repair, "Wheel Collision Center" will repair rims. They may also have one that you can purchase. "AAA Rims" "ACKER" and a few other places will also sell you a replacement rim.

When I bent my rim, I bought a new one then had the old one repaired and kept it as a matching spare.

For repair, try the Wheel Collision Center in Bath, PA

I've had good luck with them, including one with a "divot" taken out. They have a very quick turn around time.
