What Color are Volan rims? 850 1997

I just ordered a 17x7" Volan rim for my 850 R. When it arrived it was the correct rim but it was MUCH darker then the others and was more of a fine metalflake than a metallic paint. A much darker color than could be explained by paint fading. When installed it really stands out as a different color.

Did Volans come in different colors? If so, does anyone know what the paint codes would be. I am seriously considering just having 2 rims painted so that the rims on one side of the car will match.

    If they were OEM from a dealer, then it should be pretty close. If they were remanufactured, then it could be off.

    They 'paint' them, so even though they have the right 'color', it could be off quite a bit. Slightly off subject, but I had a spoiler painted for my wifes 855, and gave them the color code. Well, it was Red, but an entirely different hue of red, almost maroon in comparison. I had to give them the gas tank door to match the color. So my point is, you may have to have 2 or even 4 done at the same to get the exact same color.

    Oh, I have seen Volans in a 'normal' silver, but there's pretty much just the 2 colors! Silver and Gun.

      Hi, Although it may be pricy, I found an answer to your problem. Have them all chrome plated. There is nothing like a set of 4 Volans chrome plated. Wow. As for colors, sorry but I can't help. Good Luck, Ray.
