EXTENDED WARRANTY S40-V40 2000

Has anyone had any operating experience with this subject as sold and provided by the group called "Warrantygold" of Austin TX, especially on their offer on the comprehensive "Diamond" warranty. Warrantygold is an internet vehicle service contract provider claiming to have been in business since 1984, and are backed by an insurance company for their warranty reserves. Would appreciate any and all comments: Have to make a decision by midnight Friday May 17, 2002. Many thanks!!!

    EXTENDED WARRANTY S70 1998

    Joe:

I have the comprehensive "Diamond" package from them for my 1998 S70 T5. I opted for the 6 years (after orig. warranty)/100,000 miles (Total miles) coverage and it cost me about $1850 - with 0 deductible. The only opportunity that I had to use it was when I experienced the infamous "ABS/Tracs light" problem that required replacing the ABS control module. The Indy shop that I took it to told me that they approved it without any problems.

    Hope this helps.

    EXTENDED WARRANTY S40-V40 2000

My brother-in-law had some problems with this guys. Most likly you will pay upfront and they will examine your claim and pay some.
The better place is Dealers Assurance Corporation (in Ohio), they did few reapirs without a problems on 2 of my cars and even send me refund when I sold car before warranty ended. They also have monthly premium installments instead of paying whole thing upfront.
In any case, 3-rd party warranty is a pain, better pay a little more to dealers warranty.
