Hello:

Has anyone else used this product on their black trim? I tried it, and in most places it stayed black and looks good. A couple of places it didn't take, it must have been dirty in those spots. But especially on the door handles and side mouldings, it looks great. Only problem was a few spots on rear bumper.

How long as it lasted for others out there?

It appears that there have been some satisfied users but not I. I live in Dallas, TX and that might be part of it. I used it on front,rear bumpers and side molding and handles. I taped it all off so not to get on paint and it looked good for a couple of months. But is starting coming off after car washes.

I then bought some black,bumper spray paint and did the same taping before applying. It is 10times better. I has lasted a year so far and only faded a very small amount on rear bumper where water comes off the tires. I did sand it very well before applying and applied 2 coats.

I used a product called black again that I got at the dealer and it worked real well

I used it for the first time this past fall. It lasted the entire winter here in New Hampshire. I took it through many car washes and it had the usually bombardment of rain, snow, sleet and salt. So far it still looks great, but I will probably redo it before the summer. Very impressed!

Jeff, who makes Forever Black? FYI I've had good results with Turtle Wax Black Chrome on my T-5R's handles, window seals, antenna base, roof strips, side mirror surround and pedestal (the base that mounts on the door). Bumpers are good so didn't touch.
