No Haldex till 2004??? V70-XC70

In the May 2002 issue of Car & Driver, page 93 it states the V70 AWD & the Cross Country will use tho OLD AWD system THROUGH 2003! BUMMER! I thought the Haldex
system would be available for 2003. Anybody have any additional info? This will
definitely postpone my purchase!

    I would not pay too much attention to what magazines report when it comes to future products as they recycle 2nd-hand and 3rd-hand info and usually they are clueless.

    Starting this Fall, all AWD models offered by Volvo for MY2003 (XC90s, XC70s, V70AWDs, S60AWDs, S60Rs and V70Rs) will have the Haldex system.

    '...through the 2003 model year...' which would (should) mean the 2004 model year or 2003 (next year) at the latest... nmi V70-XC70
