Heh folks! Plan to change my fuel filter this weekend and wondered what your
experiences are out there with this project? I have a copy of the Bay 13 maintenance directions but my only concern was the separating of the connectors
on either end of the old filter. They make it sound as though it might be hard to separate. Is there any other tool that will make the job easier?

My biggest problem was the bolt holding on the retaining strap. Seems I can turn harder then the rust and sheared the bolt off. Maybe I should have let the WD40 soak in longer...

its a very easy job. i used a piece of cloth wrapped around the tube, then used a pair of pliers to slowly work it off the filter.

I use brute force but if you are not my size, use 2 open ended wrenches. One as a fulcrum and one as a lever to pry them off.
