ABS and TRACS lights 850 1996

Has anyone had any experience of ABS and TRACS lights going on and off intermittently together? Sometimes they come on (always together) after about 15 minutes...then they might go off again about 15 minutes later. Or sometimes they dont come on at all...or come on immediately at start-up and stay on...arghh!!

it could be the pedal positioning sensor that is located beside the master cylinder on the vacuum booster. i asked the same question a few months ago and got this link emailed to me. the only thing is mine never went off again after it came on. I have a 94 and was able to do a code check on the system and found that it was a faulty position sensor or brake light was out. Ken

my 1996 dose the same thing once in a while. it also gets stuck in park when this happends. turned out to be some part in steering colum. replced it from ozbrick site. once the car was started i would turn the key tward me just a little bit, not enough to shut car off but just wiggle a little and lights would go off. no biggie.
