Need help - which brake pads should I use? 850 1995

Greetings all,

In order to minimize front rotor warpage, which brand and type of brake pad should I use for a '95 855 Turbo? Where should I get them from?

Thanks in advance.

To minimize warping the rotors make sure you have a torque wrench and torque all the wheel lug nuts to the correct spec. For an 850 that is 86 ft.lb.
ALSO, never drive with your foot on the brake pedal, or ride the brakes coming down a hill. Volvo's prefer shorter quicker stops to longer slower gradual ones.

For brake pads what kind of driving do you do? City driver in the flats...use stock pads or the PBR deluxe pads. If you are a "spirited driver" and really use your brakes, or if you live in a hilly region which puts lots of stress on your brakes then go with PBR metal pads or some other semi-metallic.

    That's my 2 cents anyway.

I agree with the comments about the pads but i thought the torque setting for the wheel lug nuts was 81 ft-lbs, atleast that's what the owners manual says, i think.

OEM are the probably the softest and create the lease shudder. but they do cost $$, I ma using PBR pads and they do seem to cause a shudder under hard breaking.

I will probably go back to OEM for the ride quality.
