Installed my trailer hitch 850

The U-Haul shops in this area are the Drawtite distributors and I bought a model 36362 from them for my '95 855t. It bolted on in less than 15 minutes with just a couple of sockets and a torque wrench. Piece of cake.

Problem though with the drawbar their books show is the correct model. It might work with sedans but is too short to clear the bumper on the wagon. You'll need the 36061 like the Drawtite website and the hitch instructinos indicate. Their books referenced a 36072.

I have the right one on order now and will also install the light converter this week. I'll let you all know how it goes.

Good Deal
I'm thinking about throwing one on my wagon too. About how much are they charging for everything?

Where did you pass the trailer wires through? 850

I'm installing my tail light converter and would like to know where to pass the wiring and connector through from the rear of the wagon to the underside of the car. TIA,

With tax, 8.25% here in TN, the hitch and drawbar ran $120 and change. Bear in mind you WILL need the 36061 drawbar, not the 36071 (I beleive) their book shows. It's too short on length and rise. I returned it today and have the proper item on order at a U-Haul shop nearer my home.

Throw in $35 for the 18187 Modulelite (found on the web like I mentioned) and you're rolling for about $160 once you buy a ball. Tomorrow I'm off and installing the modulelite. I'll post the grisly results.

Regards,
