I just recently bought a 1993 850. The car is in very good condtion but it has an strange quirk. When I turn on the ignition and the car starts there is a time of about 1 sec that there is a noticable vibration/shudder. The car idles a little rough I think, but it runs very smoothly down the road. Has anybody experienced similar problems?
I must day I love the car. It drives much better than my 89 740.

    hmmm, check vacum hoses. Look on Bay 13 (volvospeed.com) theres a lot of information on rough idle. My car still does it, bugs the hell out of me. But it runs fine on the streets. Also, have you had the engine washed? Or gotten water in the engine compartment? If so, check in your ECU box, look for excess moisture in there. Sometimes those things get wet, and can cause problems. Good Luck! ~Cody
