Sorry but......Where are the spark plugs located on my 00 xc se V70-XC70

My first Volvo and I don't want to tear into stuff w/o knowing where to start.

    Thanks guys. I wasn't sure which plastic covers to remove. I am starting to realize how bad dealers really rip you off for basic pre-vent. stuff.

    Be careful when you replace them. You must use your 'fingers' to start them in the threads. Take the socket and extension you used to remove them, insert the new plug and manually start the plug in the threads. If you use the socket wrench, the plugs could get cross threaded and that would be disasterous.

    Get them started and then attach the socket wrench. Do not overtighten. The head is aluminum and the metal is soft.

    Hi,

    It is easy. They are located under the plastic cover that is directly behind the Engine Oil Fill cap. Remove the 10 or so screws that hold the plastic cover to the Engine. Next remove the Plastic Cover and you will see 5 Ignition coils. Remove the wire harnesses to the ignition coils and remove the bolt holding ignition coil to the head. The spark plugs are at the bottom of the 5 holes.

    It is easy. It should take you about 30 minutes to replace all 5 plugs.
