Can anyone help me find a radio for the S80, - HU-601, and does anyone know how I would go about prgramming it or downloading the software for it to make it work?
Would it be possible for an authorised volvo dealer to download software onto a second hand radio to make it work, or would the radio have to be new?

    Be careful and not buy second hand HU-xxx radios!

    There are different radios even though their name HU-611 or HU-801 are the same.
    Some radios only work in the same modelyear as it was originally meant for.

    If installing wrong radio in a car, it will probably not work to 100%.

    Installing a HU-radio is only for work shops with compentent personell and tools. Software must always be downloaded into the car when installing or replacing a volvo original radio (HU-series)

      I am looking for one of these radio. I have damaged the CD player in mine. I need a new one. Do you know what model they can out of???

    What exactly are you trying to do? Only the dealers Vadis PC can DL software into a new S80 radio (OEM radio, NOT aftermarket) but why would you need software for an aftermarket radio? If you're trying a used S80 radio from another car and it's not working in your car, then yes, perhaps software will cure it as they can DL software into a used radio.
