I AM THINKING ABOUT UPGRADING FROM THE STOCK 195/60-15 TIRES TO 225/50-15,HAS ANYONE TRIED THIS SIZE OR DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THIS SIZE WILL WORK WITHOUT PROBLEMS? THE DEALER SAYS THEY HAVE INSTALLED MANY 205/55-15 AND THEY FIT WELL BUT THEY CANT REMEMBER EVER TRYING 225/50-15 SO THEY WERE NOT SURE IF THE WOULD FIT.

    Lupin- listen to the dealer on this one. I bet that 15 incher is a 15x6 rim! 225 may be bulging! Stick with 205/55/15. Note you will have a bit more road feel and noise, so be warned. A nice tire that may offset the noise is Mich MXV4(pricey) or the Dunlops D60A2-JLB(just as good but way less pricey). later,B

    Although I too am not sure of potential problems, I'd guess that you'll have problems with the front tires rubbing on the inner plastic fender liner turning sharp as I see that quite often when I see 850s with wider than usual tires (havent actually noted the damaging width however).
