Cupholder Solution? 850

Call me Crazy, but I like to have Cupholders my High End Sedans. I noticed in the Owners Manual it pictured an optional cupholder. Is this a Wagon Feature, or something I can add to my GLT? Anybody retrofit one that works well?
Thanks in Advance!

Thanks for all the input guys. I found some on ebay in all different colors form a user called Wood12746. He has them for about 15-17 dollars and they look about like IPD's $40 dollar cupholders.
Thanks again

I can't find this seller at all, or much in the way of cupholders. Are you sure of your info?

The armrest ones are pretty small and flimsy, and don't hold anything bigger than a 12 oz. soda can or a small cup of coffee. Volvo was definitely behind the cupholder technology curve back in 96, and maybe they still are, I haven;t checked.

I sort of like the IPD cupholders too, but at $39.95 they're a bit too pricey for my coffee. I think you can bargain them down to 2 for $34.95 each, but still...

Rob,

I suggest you go to http://www.eerievolvo.com and check them. I got a replacement armrest lid from them for around $30 I think, w/ cup holders.

My advice is to look for the fold down cupholders that clip to the door pocket. I think IPD sells them. My wagon is equipped with the centre armrest cup holders. When the cupholder unit is in service, it sits directly over top of the window switches, so - if any of the liquid spills, the switches are the likely destination. Every time I use the cupholders, I cover the switches with a folded cloth that I keep in the car specifically for this purpose.

I believe there's a cupholder option that can be retrofitted to your center armrest. I think you just need to change the armrest but it's kind of expensive. I've seen a fold-up cupholder that can be screwed to the door.
