Adjusting Wastegate setting on T5 S70 1998

I recently followed the directions from easternaerospace.com to adjust the wastegate settingof my turbo. did the 3 complete turns. However did not see any major improvements.

Has anybody adjusted this setting and if so how many turns did it take for noticable improvements? All Comments on subject are appreciated.

It made no real difference on my 98 T5, too.

I can feel a bigger difference if I disconnect the battery over
night and let the ECU reset to factory mapping. The car is a
rocket for the first 20 miles (or so) until it detunes itself
a bit (presumably to prevent ping with our 91 octane gas). Wish
it ran like that all the time!

Boost is mostly ECU controlled. A few turns might give you a momentary rush, but the ECU detects the changed parameters and adjusts accordingly. If you over-adjust, the ECU will just shut the engine down.

Mod is overated and will not improve peak power, just bring boost in earlier causing more wheelspin, Volvo re-mapped ignition from 850 series to 70 series to remove this problem. Visit www.T5UK.com for my opinions of mods in FAQ. section
