Is there such a thing, there seems to be a infrared sensor on it?

Hiya guys.

Here in Sweden a call to the local dealer gave me the answer. Indeed it exists, its not small though..but it does exist.

And the price is about $110

Bargain uh?

Yes, there is. I don't think they sell them here in the US though. You might want to try the Volvo UK website (or any Euro country) and go from there. Check and see if any of the internet Volvo places can import you one.

SC900/SC901 is made by Alpine.
Maybe Alpines remote control "RUE 4185" will work.

Indeed, this is a question I have been asking for 3 years now - first for our 1998 S70 T5 with the SC900 radio, and now for my '98 V70R. I have actually seen pictures of the credit card sized remote for the radio (which is supposedly made by Alpine)...

but I have searched high and low - Google, eBay and all - with no success.

Another mystery to be solved.

I got it for my 97 850 R and it worked with my 99 V70. I purchased in Volvo of Las Vegas when we drove on vacation. I know a friend of mine who ordered it through his local Volvo dealership. It costs about $110.00
