Battery warning red light? 850

I was just wondering if it's normal for a battery warning light(red light on the dash board) to come on everytime while I am shuting engine off? During driving it never comes on.

    I think that in the manual it states that the light coming on actually indicates "Generator not Charging", and of course when you shut your car off, there is a brief period between "On" and "Off" where the car's generator is not charging the battery (I think the light stays on if you turn "On" your car, but don't move the key to "Start"), I'm not sure, but I think it is normal.
