Speedo Inop after battery went dead

Several times I've unknowingly hit the trunk release button on my remote when exiting the car which in turn turns on the trunk light but does not raise the trunk enough to make it noticeable. Then I return a few days later to a car that won't start because the battery is discharged, but not enough for the clock or radio to lose their settings. I charged the battery up and I'm driving the car but now the speedometer doesn't work, the temp gauge is intermittent, and the Service light flashes constantly. Anyone have any idea what the heck happened?

Thanks,

Tim

I would check the battery ground cable at the battery and
at the point where it attaches to the car. A poor ground
causes all kinds of electrical problems and is the first
thing to look at. Others who have posted about minor
electrical problmes report this sometimes helps/fixes it.
