new forum layout, new ID, I'm back, baby!!! V70-XC70 1998

Hello all. I've been off this board for a while. When did the layout change?

Funny thing is there seems to be no record of my old ID. I feel so unwanted! A quick note to Jarrod confirms the worst. I'm an unknown. Well, I re-opened an account and now, in the words of George Costanza, I'M BACK, BABY!

Funny thing, though, many of lines that need to be filled in, (ie, URL link, Signature line, even subject lines, etc), when I was re-entering them in, my computer remebered the history for those lines. I dunno, maybe on the old version, we didn't actually need an ID, just needed to enter a name and email address?

I even did a search and found one of my old posts!

Oh well, it's good to be offically back on.

Regards to the fellow bricksters.

Update on IPD sway bar squeaking V70-XC70 1998

    Hi Adam,

It is nice to hear from you again. I found a solution to the IPD sway bar squeaking problem. Use some Graphite lube. The type that is used to lube speedometer cables. I put some on mine and the problem went away.

    Steven---

Update on IPD sway bar squeaking V70-XC70 1998

Hey, thanks Steven. I'll keep that in mind if the squeak comes back. I had IPD send me new bushings and lube. I also sanded the bar as best I could before installing the new bushings in hopes of giving some grooves for the lube to stay in. I still kinda clunks every once in a while, more so when the temp drops and if the car's been parked outside for a while.

I guess this saga is to be continued.

The M stands for Manual, as in Manual Tranny.
