Boost gauge installation 850 1997

I bought a boost gauge for my 97 850.. any idea where this hose connects to the engine? I found a site that showed it being installed. It put the hose on the vacuum tree next to the throttle pulley..is that right? i connected it there, but when i got on it hard, it only showed 4psi. So my questions are, is this where the hose conects and what should the stock psi be for a low pressure 850 turbo?
Thanks

That's a good place to get a good/accurate reading for actual boost. And 4 psi sounds about right for a low pressure turbo. A stock high pressure turbo pushes about 9.849psi. So I would imagine a low pressure turbo to be about half that. Most aftermarket chip manufacturers for the high pressure turbos only get to about 13.965psi. Any higher and the stock wastegate makes any other increases useless.

To answer your question again, 4psi sounds about right.
