Help water leak in passenger side floor 850 1996

I also have this same problem with my '96 850R! Every time it rains for several days, I end up with a puddle of water underneath my passenger seat. Have you solved your problem yet? I have no clues. Please help.

Dave, he of the rolling wheel insignia, mentioned that the cabin air filter housing he retrofitted to his car also served as a great water collector and produced the same effects you describe. His car is a '94 or '95. So if you installed the filter you might check that possibility. You'll be working in the same area to follow up on Rich K's suggestion.

I agree. I have had two cars (a Triumph TR7 and a BMW) with leaks from the drain hose on the air conditioner evaporator. This is easy to check because it will only leaks when you use the air conditioner.

You might try running a hose on that side of your car, and then look for where the leak is at. You might want to lift up the plastic cover (cowel) and check to see if your drain holes from the wipers is clogged up and drain holes under the cowel. You mentioned earlier in a post that a rubber stop was missing, I'd also make sure that was covered, with a new plug or something.
