Someone claiming to be me. Yikes, what's the matter?

I've thought this web site was among the best chat types on the 'net. Now that I see my name listed as a "someone claiming to be" I'm questioning my own identity.

I know a handful of internet software gurus who could change this site's code so anybody posting a message who already has an account would have this fact checked by comparing the poster's account/provider name and password with those stored in the site's memory and if valid, post the message without all the "someone claiming to be" stuff. So easy to do so one doesn't have to log in each time. Other web site message boards are like this; they're nice.

I think the website's owner knows a few gurus, too. Please throw some a Christmas cookie or two, then ask them to go back to the much nicer and friendlier style.

    I don't see what you are having a cow about.

    Log-in once and forget about it, until you change computers. It's not like super secret thing, so just have it saved in your cookies. It already does what you say, automatically, but far be it for you to find out before you insult Jarrod. Jeez, you sound like a whiner.

    Jarrod is a pretty good guru.

      I didn't spend too much time on the color issue. I just wanted it to be unflashy, but not too dry.

      What do you think of the blue? I think it looks pretty nice. The "visited link" color might need to be a bit darker though.

    It's called a login. Nothing else is reliable. Nothing else could possibly be persistent. Nothing else is manageable. And it is what this site uses. BUT, since people will complain if I demand that they login, I offer the old semi-anonymous, unverified route. I aim to please.
