Any idea? I have never had a fob for this car, only a key. The key turns, nothing happens.

Hi Bonzo,

Get into the car from the passenger side and open the drivers door.
You need to remove the inner door panel to see what is wrong.

It can be as simple as the plastic clip that supports the door lock linkage
has snapped. Then the lock link bends instead of releasing the door latch.
Get new clips from the dealer, they just snap into holes in the door frame.

My son used a "jimmy" to insert in door and pry up to unlock. He removed door panel and fixed connection, he's not here but I will ask him if a broken plastic clip is the culprit.
