how often should i tune up my 1999 volvo s70 with 98k on dash

    Spark plugs and air filter every 35k.

    Adding to what Bill said, the timing belt and tensioner should be changed every 105k or 10 years regardless of mileage. If that happens to be your original belt you are running on borrowed time and should change the belt ASAP...:)

    Check your owner's manual but the information below is from Haynes and should be pretty similar to Volvo's recommendations. A good basic maintenance guide.

    Hi,

    Look in your owners manual for recommended service intervals.

    Make sure that you pay close attention to the timing belt mileage.
    If you ignore that you can wind up with a dead engine and a major engine repair.
