My mistake about position of coolant outlets in relation to intake and exhaust, verified that lines were open! Now I'm wondering if the Ebay lines will work? Banjo bolts will install OK.

I crudely modified my inlet line and curious about slight coolant restriction?

The turbo and coolant line were complicated due to the incorrect CHRA but turned out good.

Test drive revealed a rotational "racket" which turned out to be front prop shaft
bearing! I had not separated any part of the shaft, so I thought it is a CV joint and it won't have to be timed?

It was very difficult to start bolts to attach to the bevel drive and noticed a questionable collar and grease migration! It has failed for sure!

Does the bevel drive have to be timed to the prop shaft?

With 30 years of Cummins T50 and Holset turbos which are not water cooled I am thinking my modification may be sufficient as I have been using regular heater hose on the outlet for 12K. As air and water flow test do not appear restrictive and using synthetic along with sufficient cool down times and monitoring boost pressure1

I will continue to water cool the turbo not expecting it to "coke" up again?

Currently contacting Arashi Dynamics about a water line kit, Wife's research indicates they are reputable located in Taiwan.

My fabrication for a coolant line caused me to consider a devastating failure not to mention the amount of work just to access the turbo. I have seen posters having similar turbo coolant line issues.

Just curious - How many miles are these turbo coolant hoses lasting? Meaning what are you reading on the BB?

jwalker I certainly should not have to be replacing these lines but Ebay sold a CHRA that has the coolant ports facing inboard so they just will not fit!
Hoping the stainless covers protect Teflon inside?
