Hi Folks,
I would like to remove the rear metal cargo cage from my wife's 2016 XC70 and install in in my son's 2008 XC70. It looks to be fairly straight forward but I know looks can be deceiving. It does have both left and right spring loaded levers that I am not even sure what their purpose is. I don't find any videos or information regarding the cage removal or installation. Any relevant information that can be shared would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you for sharing..
    I haven't had much luck in finding information or videos on the removal or installation of the stock metal dividers on those years (08-20016) of the XC70s. There was an 06 XC70 at local U-Pull-it yard with the metal cage divider. The connection apparatus in those earlier years were different and won't fit the 2008 thru 2016s.

    There are lots of Volvo cage instructions on the web.

    I have a set of Volvo retractable nets - they can be installed on either our '08 or '12 XC 70s and work whether the back seat is up or down.

    One of the best accessory I have ever seen.
