It came up for me too!
I looked to see what’s up with them.

Then, I looked at a wiper motor listing on these newer cars.
Aren’t those puppies a little expensive @ $275 in anybody’s money?


What drove the need for programming?

Looks like their pre-programed, so isn’t that nice!
No dealer trips for getting that to turn into a plug and pay situation.

Now I wondered about programming.

Are there brains inside these so the main computer is less complicated or smaller?

Is there an automatic washing system or rain sensor built in them?

If one goes bad how far behind is the other one?

If there are two of them, are they talking to each other or “rat packed” to a special computer?

I could see the desire to eliminate linkage mechanisms.
Makes me appreciate Electrolux of Sweden designs on cars of the past and how it shared parts for millions of cars and got us away from vacuum driven wiper motors!

My 240s have a linkage, but hey, doesn’t water still falls on a windshields in the same way with wipers still swishing!

I sure hope that electric cars can make car transportation simpler again, since, wipers are electric and don’t need any changes!
