Looking for a newer ride

I am looking for something newer to drive and would like to hear what volvo owners have experienced with their own cars.
At this time I am driving a 04 S60 AWD and it has 226K on the clock and overall have had good luck with it. My past cars have been 4-744s and 2-940s I still have a 1990 744 turbo with a manual as a fun summer car.
I have been looking at some 4.4L V8 and I think it would be a better option in a XC90. I do pull a small trailer some and my S60 works when I am pulling it with much on it. I have driven a S80awd and it was a nice ride even with 314K, but I have never driven a XC90 and would like to hear what people have to say
Is the 4.4L reliable over 200k?
Is there much difference between the 2.5, 3.2, and the 4.4 ? besides millage ?
What should I stay away from ?
Any experience from volvo people would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Gene

Stay away from any Volvo with a V8. It is much too difficult to maintain the engine and gets very expensive as it gets older.

I like the XC90 with the 6cyl. Make sure it has a factory hitch, the software is modified for a hitch.

XC90 with a turbo is not really needed, plenty of torque with the NA engine.
