2002 V70 2.3L TURBO - OIL CAP PRESSURE RELIEF (PCV) V70-XC70

Have a 2.3L V70 and the oil cap has a 1/4" pressure relief line feeding to the air intake box.
Will this keep crankcase pressures from building excessively and act as a 'relief' even though its kinda basic? (I assume its back up to the PCV)
Use full synthetic - Castrol Edge High Milage - change oil and filter every 3 mos - no major oil consumption or leaks.

Thanks

Rube Goldberg to the rescue! I wonder how dirty your air filter is? Ouch!

It isn't that difficult to replace the clogged PCV with new/improved hardware. A 3-4 hour DIY. But, now you will need a new oil cap and a serviceable air cleaner (no extra hole).

Would I buy a car with that mod? No way.
