Crankcase pressure or vacuum? V70-XC70

Doing multiple projects and found oil leakage under the top side where the breather connects. There is no decent hose in this area so thinking it might be wise to check into the PCV / oil trap?

Today I started on the W/P, timing belt with tensioners and noted the cam seals looked dry but there is some oil migration in the crank shaft area, so likely a crank seal?

My BMW always had slight crankcase vacuum as it should! So should I O/H the PCV or just replace front seal? How difficult job would that be?

I know too much CC pressure can aggravate leakage, just want to get some opinions, Thanks.

Check for vacuum/pressure with a rubber glove on the oil filler cap. It should suck in a bit. If it blows up, suspect the PCV box being blocked to some degree.
